Financial Analyst

Michelle is the Senior Financial Analyst for Auxiliary and Enterprise Development at Florida International University. She is primarily responsible for collaborating with colleges and units in the development of financial models for various projects, including the creation of profit & loss projections, capital expenditure plans, impact analyses and feasibility studies of operational expansion. Michelle also provides support to financial analysis and reporting of the University’s Direct Support Organizations and Contract & Grants activities.

Prior to joining FIU, Michelle served as a Business Analyst with Ryder System Incorporated. She conducted monthly expense analysis to improve resource optimization, and developed financial models to support the corporate long term strategic growth. In addition, she created expense management portfolios, developed trend analysis on financial performance and provided analytical reports to senior management with insightful recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Asian Studies from Mount Holyoke College. Michelle is currently enrolled in the MBA Program at Florida International University Chapman Graduate School of Business Administration.
